Hire a Pivot Intern

Work with a Pivot Intern in 2024!

The Pivot Program is seeking partners to host a Pivot Fellow intern in 2024.

Details:

• Internship Dates: March 11 through June 11, 2024
• Interns are expected to work four days a week, eight hours each day for a total of 32 hours per week
• Interns will spend Wednesdays in the Pivot classroom for additional professional development training
• Interns continue to be paid an hourly stipend by the Pivot Program during the internship period

After completing their intensive academic coursework, the Pivot Fellows begin internships with D.C. companies and nonprofits, where they gain meaningful work experience, build their professional networks, and explore options for full-time employment after graduation.

At the same time, Pivot intern hosts gain highly qualified and committed interns and have a chance to explore how second chance hiring may fit into their organization and workplace.

While in their internships, Fellows are supervised by a Pivot Program coach and continue to earn an hourly stipend, paid for by the program. There is no cost to the employer; host companies are invited, but not required, to help defray the cost of the stipend by making a contribution to the Pivot Program.  Pivot Fellows are also provided with laptops and are able to work either on site or remotely for employers with teleworking practices.
