Crystal Kitt

MEET CRYSTAL:

Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Crystal attributes her outgoing nature and ease of conversation to her role as the third oldest of nine siblings. She graduated in 2006 with a bachelor of science in chemistry from Alabama State University where she also played basketball, leading the Lady Hornets to their first NCAA tournament berth. She went on to play basketball professionally in Spain, and she moved to DC to try out for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics team in 2007. In DC, she continued her education with a master’s degree in biohazardous threat agents and emerging infectious diseases from Georgetown University in 2011. While she has expertise in disaster recovery, emergency management, and worked for large agencies in the chem-bio space, she sees the Pivot Program as a springboard to launch a career that matches her affinity for people and building relationships, such as leadership roles in marketing, sales, business development, or strategic organizational change management. Crystal is an avid reader of Entrepreneur Magazine, and she also enjoys listening to podcasts, singing, and writing her own songs.
