Douglas Denson
MEET DOUGLAS:
Doug Denson worked for Clark Construction as a journeyman from 2016 until the start of the Pivot Program. During that time, he completed an apprenticeship in cement masonry, finishing in 14 months a course that usually takes three years. Doug closely observed the construction site setup process and the companies that service Clark Construction. He has several business ideas, including a process to improve waste management at these sites. He looks forward to using the Pivot Program to delve into research for these ideas and meet others who can help him build prototypes and a business plan.
Doug is a father to a sixteen-year-old son for whom he strives to set an example. He loves the strategy of chess, and he used the game as a way to reconnect and build a relationship with his own father. He also loves the water, plays basketball, and looks forward to Sunday crossword puzzles.
