Shaun McKnight
MEET SHAUN:
A native of DC, Shaun McKnight used his time in prison to earn an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Bard College through the Bard Prison Initiative. He was the commencement speaker at his graduation, and his academic success earned him an appearance on College Behind Bars, a four-part documentary series by Lynn Novick, supported by legendary documentary filmmaker Ken Burns. He is interested in starting a business or an organization that works to address homelessness and hunger, and he is also curious to learn about real estate and commercial properties. He enjoys cooking and baking, and his signature dish is a leg of lamb with a side of sautéed spinach and roasted potatoes. Shaun loves to be in nature, and he hopes to visit the Galapagos Islands one day.
