Pivot Wins DOES Training & Employment Partner Award

The Georgetown Pivot Program was honored with the D.C. Department of Employment Services’ Training & Employment Partner Award in recognition of its successes in the past year.
DOES celebrates outstanding staff and partners at its annual Shining Star Award Gala, held this year at the Grand Hyatt Washington on Sept. 21. The award ceremony commemorates organizations and partners in the D.C. area that have demonstrated “exceptional service and exemplified strength, honor, service, and dedication to advancing the Department of Employment Services’ mission.”
The award is a testament to Pivot’s long standing relationship with DOES and to the program’s growth alongside it. DOES is a crucial partner, supporting Fellows’ job readiness and employment, and providing financial support.
“DOES has been a partner to the Georgetown Pivot Program from its inception, and indeed, we really would not be able to run the program in the same way without their support,” said Pivot Academic and Executive Director Alyssa Lovegrove.
Lovegrove and the rest of the Pivot leadership team were thrilled to receive the honor as the program kicks off the start of another year with the sixth cohort of Fellows.
“We see the award as validation of our model, and we are grateful to DOES for their continued support,” said Lovegrove.
