DeAnthony Campbell brings experience in public service, transportation, and entrepreneurship to Pivot. Born and raised in Southeast Washington, D.C., he credits his upbringing with teaching resilience, adaptability and the importance of community — values that continue to guide his professional journey.
Before joining the Georgetown University Pivot Program, Campbell worked as a building inspector for the D.C. Department of Buildings, ensuring safety and compliance across residential and commercial properties. He previously spent seven years as a train conductor with Amtrak and owned and operated a trucking company. He also has more than five years of experience in remote sales, lead generation, and customer relationship management.
Campbell brings strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to the program. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and plans to build a successful cleaning company that creates jobs in his community.
Through Pivot, Campbell hopes to strengthen his leadership, public speaking, and business management skills while expanding his professional network. He also plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business administration to deepen his understanding of finance, marketing, and operations.
Outside of work, Campbell enjoys spending time with his three children, watching sports, reading personal development books, and traveling. A fun fact: he received his first computer at age 5.
