Leon Richardson is a Washington, D.C. native and  multifaceted professional with a passion for entrepreneurship, community service, and personal growth. Guided by mentors and life experiences, he joined the Georgetown University Pivot Program to gain business knowledge, strengthen his entrepreneurial skills, and expand his professional network.

Richardson’s past professional experience includes delivery services, moving and concierge work, and extensive craftsmanship. A master leatherworker, he has over 12 years of experience creating handcrafted leather goods and accessories, and he developed a curriculum for prison leather programs at USP Hazelton, helping incarcerated individuals build skills and achieve lower custody levels. He has also worked as a personal trainer, using fitness to promote personal development and healing.

At Pivot, Richardson is focused on deepening his understanding of business management, computer literacy, and entrepreneurship. He aims to launch multiple ventures, including a leather goods company, an adult aging care business, and a renewable energy-focused gym, all designed to create opportunities for others and positively impact his community.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Richardson enjoys fitness, mentoring, and philanthropy. A fun fact: he once crocheted 10 hats and booties for babies born into poverty and donated leather creations to fundraisers supporting children with cancer.
